The surgery went really well. Still a pressure concern but we'll take it a day at a time. The nurses say she looks great but it's hard for me to see underneath all the tubes and wires. She's waken up a few times and has a big dislike for the breathing tube. (who wouldn't Crossing our fingers they can take it out first thing in the morning. She'll be on some heavy meds to help with pain and to keep her asleep. It won't be long until she can watch all the movies and eat all the slushies she wants. Something we can all be excited about!
Wahoo!! Sleeping peacefully with no breathing tube, nose tube or catheter! They're looking at moving her "upstairs" out of intensive care tomorrow morning After a somewhat traumatic breathing tube removal here first words were, "Can I have a prize?" She's definitely gotten a few prizes along with a slushy & chocolate ice cream
